There are plenty of places to visit as days away from the beaches:

Barcelona. A rail connection from L’Ametlla de Mar will take you on scenic coastal journey into Barcelona. Being one of Europe's most popular destination breaks you will find much to occupy yourself, from the beautiful parks, Gaudi architecture and of course superb shopping and restaurant facilities.

The Ebro Delta, Catalonia.The Ebro Delta (delta de l'Ebro) is the second most important natural aquatic habitat in Spain after the Doñana National Park. The Delta is of international importance for its plant species and its fauna, which consists mostly of birds as one can find 95 nesting species, as well as a zone to spend the winter and feeding grounds for birds.The river Ebro has long been the destination for those anglers wishing to catch large bags of carp but in recent years it has also become known as Europe’s most prolific producer of sizeable Wells Catfish.

Miravet is a small picturesque village which is about a 30-45 minute drive from Jacaranda. There are two main roads into Miravet. One via the historical ferry across the river Ebro, simply powered by the river current. As you cross you take In the beautiful views of Miravet. Quaint street cafes shops and bars, on the banks of the river Ebro, at the foot of Miravet village, are the ideal place to relax and take in the atmosphere. For a slice of history visit the superb Templar castle.

Tarragona. Have a leisurely stroll around the historic walls and  a visit to the old Roman Forum. Taking in a drink and snack on the Rambla Nova or in the 'Plac,a de la Font' would be an enjoyable way to pass a few hours. Longer stays could include visits to a wider range of Roman remains and a trip to one of the better beaches, like 'l'Arrabassada' or 'Llarga'golf on the Costa Dorada.

Golf: Bonmont Terres Noves. Wonderful Mediterranean views and a mountainous backdrop have made this into one of the finest courses in Catalonia. Port Aventura Golf has three courses one of which was designed by Greg Norman. Sitges Terramar Golf Club offers some spectacular coastal views. Costa Dorada Golf Club. This famous course, one of the best in Catalonia is suitable for all levels of player.
